Mr. and Mrs. Harry Lee Smith of Spring House Farm, Washington, Va. announce rhe marriage of their daughter, Virginia Lee, to Phillip Lee Thornton III, son of Mr. and Mrs. Phillip Lee Thornton of Sperryville. The marriage took place Thursday, February 2, 1967 at St. Barnabas Episcopal Church, Richmond, with the Rev. John C. Rivers performing the ceremony. Mrs. Thornton attended the Priory in Honolulu and was graduated from Virginia Intermont, Bristol and Longwood College, Farmville. Mr. Thornton graduated from Staunton Military Academy and attended Virginia Polytechnic Institute, Blacks'burg. He is currently on duty with the U. S. Army.
Fairfax were weekend guests of Mr. and Mrs. Claude Gaines. Their Saturday guests wereGene Gaines, Glen Shelton and Eddie Easterday, all of Alexandria and Mr. and Mrs. Glen Qaines of Madiaop.
