Professor Jon D. Longaker, chairman of the Division of the Arts at Randolph-Macon College, has announced that the college will sponsor a Medieval Arts Tour through Europe this summer. Randolph-Macon has for the past three years sponsored a travel-study program withem phasis on language study The new program, however, will concentrate on Art of the Middle Ages. The five-week course will feature a series of fifteen lectures as the class travels through Italy, Germany, France, England, and Ireland. Three semester hours of credit will be awarded for successful completion of the program. In addition to the scheduled hours of work, students will have free time for independent sight-seeing and individual research. Longaker, associate pro fessor of art history at Ran-»_ dolph-Macon, was hornin’ Davos, Switzerland, arfd spent the first nine years of his life in Germany and Italy. He speaks German, Italian, French, and Spanish. A graduate of the University of Pennsylvania, Longaker has studied at ^Columbia University and Jn Brussels.
