“Violations of the Social Security Act will be vigorously prosecuted," Mrs. Hazel F. Daly, District Manager of the Social Security Administration warned today. Mrs. Daly said she had learned that Marie Adams, Hamilton, Ohio, formerly of Garrard, Clay County, Kentucky was sentenced in Federal District Court, London, Kentucky on April 4 on charges of violating the Social Security Act. Mrs. Adams entered a plea of guilty to two counts of concealing her remarriage in order to receive Social Security widow’s benefits to which she was not entitled. Mrs. Daly pointed out that all persons receiving Social Security benefits have obligations to report timely and correctly certain events which effect the payment to which they are entitled.
