DeBergh barn, though not before they were drenched. Spirits were not dampened and the day continued with swimming in a portable pool furnished by Sears inWarrenton, boat rides on the Cheatham pond while others had their “ups and downs" on the trampoline.
David Paulson of Greenbelt, Md. was the Jaycee chairman of the event and directed the activities. Also present was Bob Summers, chairman last year, who was named “Man of the Year" by the Jaycees for this project in 66.
VEA Announces
Current Program
The Virginia Education Association (VEA) has announced its instructional program for the current school year including a fall statewide conference on sex education, a spring statewide conference on effective organization for instruction and the employment of a consultant^ in-residence on staff development and utilization. “Sex Education - A School Responsibility?" is the theme for the November 16-18conference in Roanoke. National experts from Kansas, Connecticut, Missouri, and Washington, D. C. will be present to explain the status of sex education in the nation, while Virginia authorities will bring the participants up to date on sex education programs under way in a few areas of the state.
