Kilby Reunion

\ reunion and picnic of the family of Mrs. W. D. Kilby and the late Mr. Kilby was recently held at the binnacles l picnic grounds on the Skyline jDrive. Mrs. Kilby, although ■ severely crippled by a rthr it is,1 was able to attend the gathering.

. Those attending the reunion from out of the county were Dr. L. Kilby and family or Baltimore, Md.; Maury VV. Kilby and family of VVytheville, Va.; and Mr. and Mrs. Lewis VV. Tyus of Richmond. Dr. Kilby is a former teacher in the Sperryville High School and a graduate of the University of Virginia Medical School, l .xcept for three years in the L. S. Army Medical Corps during World War II, he has spent practically all of his professional life in Baltimore, formerly associate ed with the University of Maryland Medical School as Professor of Roentgenology and director of the X-ray department of the University of Maryland Hospital. At the present time his duties are confined to private office practice with, three associates. The wife of : Dr. Kilby is the former Janet Sollenberger who served several years in the county as home demonstration agent. They have two daughters, Phoebe and Margaret.
