Meets on Sept. 19

The Rappahannock Historical Society will hold its Fall meeting, Tuesday, September 19 in the Rappahannock Library at 8 p.m. Mr. J. R. Fishburne, research historian for the Virginia Historic Landmarks Commission, Richmond, will speak on the new Research Program on the Landmarks for the State of Virginia, with specific reference on 60 known landmarks in Rappahannock County. The Commission has asked the Society to assist in locating, identifying, describing and photographing all 60. The meeting is open to all interested in this project of research. It should be of special interest to all members, who are urged to attend.
