Late Saturday afternoor 4 1/2 miles west of Sperryville on Route 211 a two vehicle traffic crash occurred. According to Trooper J. 13. Willis, a 64 Chevrolet station wagon owned by Roy B. Leake and operated by Lecie Atkins Leake of Sperryville and a 1966 Chevy II owned and operated by Harold Ldward Comer of Woodbridge were involved. Comer was heading west and rounded a curve to the right when he veered into the left lane and struck the Leake vehicle, said the officer. Randal Scott Comer, 7, of Woodbridge sustained a laceration of the forehead. Damage to the Leake vehicle was estimated at $500 and to Comer’s $400. Comer was charged with reckless driving. The same evening at 9:50 p. m. on Route 211 just east of Amissvllle a single vehicle was involved in a crash. A 58 Chevrolet operated by Lrnest Lee Shepherd of Amissville, heading west, came up behind another vehicle making a turn'. He applied his brakes, went off the road, struck a bank and overturned into the road. The vehicle was a total loss, but no personal injury resulted. Shepherd was charged with reckless driving and operating without a license Trooper J. B. Willis investigated this crash.
