Mrs. Josephine Bowers
Mrs. Josephine Dodson Bowers, 82, of Nethers, widow of Robert Bowers, died Tuesday^ September 5, 1967 at Univer'sity of Virginia Hospital. Qaughter of the late Lewis Dodson and the late Jane Anna Jenkins Dodson, she was a native of Rappahannock County. She was a member of Piedmont Baptist Church at Sperry ville. She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Oscar Sisk of Nethers, seven grandchildren, and one sister, Mrs. Haywood Jenkins of Elkwood. A funeral service was held Saturday, September 9, at 2:00 p.m. from Geest funeral chapel, with burial in Sperryville Cemetery. Rev. Floyd Binns of the Baptist charge in Culpeper conducted the service. The pallbearers were Charlie, Robert Albert and Bennie Dodson anti Jerry and Boot Jenkins.
