second race is the non-sanctioned Fox Hunter Relay for hunt teams. The relay will be run over three miles on the flat with a rider on each team passing the whip to a team member at the end of each mile. The first team to complete the course with the original whip is the winner. Last year the team from Fairfax Hunt won this race. The main race of the afternoon in the Virginia Hunt Cup, with a $1500 purse. This is for four-year-olds and upover three miles of the Virginia Gold Cup timber course. The fourth race, the Piedmont, with a purse of $1250, is over hurdles for two miles. Fifth will be the Great Run, a non-sanctioned amateur turf race of one mile and a half. Concluding the afternoon, the Freakness, a turf race for mules, will be an added attraction which is sure to be popular. Subscriber and special reserved parking spaces on the hill overlooking the course are still available. Reservations may be made by calling the Race office in Warrenton it 347-2ol2.
