“Water Pollution" has been chosen as the theme of the 2 1st Annual Wildlife Fssay contest, according to Game Commission Field educational Services Coordinator Stuart Newman who supervises the contest. The writing competition is sponsored jointly by the Virginia Commission of Came and Inland Fisheries and the Virginia Division of the Izaak Walton League. Virginia students in Grade 5-12 are c 1 i-' gible for $3,000 in prize money put up by the sponsoring organizations.
'Water Pollution” was selected as this year’s subject because of its vital importance to all citizens and because of recent nationwide efforts to step up pollution abate merit progress.
