Culpeper Farm Show

Entries Due Now

Local youngsters are reminded that July 15 is the deadline for their entries to the Culpeper Farm Show. Entry blanks should be mailed to the Culpeper Extension Office on or before Monday. Extra blanks and catalogs are available from the Madison County Extension Agents.

This year’s show, to be held July 30 through August 3, has been made an all youth show. Four-H Club, FFA, and FHA members from Culpeper, Madison, and Rappahannock counties will be entering beef and dairy cattle, swine, sheep, horses, farm crops, foods, clothing, flowers, crafts, and pets.

Y. are visiting Mr. and Mrs. George Majors at their home on Breeze Hill. Al/C Claude B. E. Harris who is now stationed at Roanoke Rapids, N. C. was the week-end »uest of his grandmother Mrs. R. Russell. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Wigington md Ned Jackson of Vienna were ■ecent Sunday guests of Mrs. Hattie Jackson. Mrs. Dorothy styles was also their guest.

Day at Brandy

The annual Virginia Angus rield Day on Wheels is scheduled or July 18 through 20, Dave jeonard, executive secretary of he Virginia Angus Association eports. It will visit 12 farms in lorthern and central Virginia. The three-day event will :onclude with the regular Virginia ■Meld Day July 20 at Brandy Rock Farm, Brandy Station. The jrst two days will consist of a bus »ur td> visit and study the operations of various registered Angus herds.
