Mis* Mattie Rector

Miss Mattie Rector, a life-long resident of Woodville, died in Culpeper Sunday, July 7, 1968 at the age of 81. She was a member of Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church.

She is survived by one sister-in-law Mrs. Blucker Rector and two nieces, all of Washington, D.C., and a nephew, Robert Fielding of Lynchburg.

Graveside services were conducted Wednesday afternoon at 2:30 p.m.

State 4-H Winner

Steve Brown, son of Mr. and Mrs. W. Jack Brown of Hamilton and grandson of Mr. and Mrs. J. Rodes Brown, Sperryville was high individual in the state in poultry judging with a score of 968 out of a possible 1,000 points. He is a member of the State Judging Team and also will represent Virginia at the National Contest in Chicago.
