Meeting March 18th
The Rappahannock County Elementary School Parent-Teacher Association will meet in the school auditorium on Tuesday, March 18 at 7:30 p.m. In addition to a short business meeting, the program for the evening will be a symposium of seven seniors from Rappahannock County High’School. They will be expressing youth’s ideas of today’s problems. Those taking part in the discussion are Carter Moffett, Moderator; Janet Hackley, Donald Hobbs, Stewart Hawkins, Peggy Andes, Geraldine Baldwin and Wayne Deal. The public is cordially invited to attend. Refreshments and a social hour will be held in the library following the meeting.
Garden Club Meets With Mrs. Leonard
Mrs. Francis J. Leonard will be hostess to the Rappahannock County Garden Club at Lullwater Farm in Amissville Wednesday, March 19th at two o’clock.
Guest speaker will be Mr. Herman J. Scharmer, Executive Chef of the Epicure Society. The theme of the program will be “The Proof of the Garden”.
A reminder that the exhibit for March is - “No Flowers for the Table - Let’s Improvise”.
Faculty-Jaycees Game Scheduled
The undefeated Rappahannock School Faculty Basketball Team will meet the Rappahannock Jaycees in a tilt on the hardwood Friday night, March 21 beginning at 8 p.m.
The faculty team last year was composed of high school teachers, however, some of the elementary male teachers have been recruited to enlarge the team, thus allowing for substitutes, etc., so Look Out, Jaycees.
The Jaycee group is hard at practice with Coach Jack Wayland teaching them some new twists and techniques.
