Three Youths Sustain

Injury in Crash

Three young people of Rappahannock were injured in a single-vehicle crash a mile east of Sperryville Saturday night. Hugh Robert Deal, Jr. of Sperryville sustained a back and knee injury and was taken to Culpeper Memorial Hospital by Rappahannock Rescue Squad. Taken to the same hospital where they were treated and released were Nancy Nethers and Betty Lou Atkins of Woodville. Nancy received lacerations of the leg and chin and possible rib fracture and Betty Lou had abrasions and ^contusions of the left leg.

Hugh Robert Deal, Jr. was operating a 1957 Ford pickup which was owned by the Rappahannock Hunt. He lost control of it and struck a bank, then overturned. Damage to the truck was estimated at $400, according to investigating officer W. A. Buntin.
