For Beauty Pageant
Classes are filling for the Beauty Pageant scheduled for Friday, April 18, but there is still need for more contestants to register, especially in the older age group. The Beauty Pageant, which is sponsored by the Rappahannock Jaycees, will be held at Rappahannock County Elementary School and will begin at 8 p.m. Jaycee Donald Gore, chairman of the pageant, urges young ladies from the ages of 4 through 19 to enroll in the beauty contest, by contacting him at 987-8160; Gary Deal, 987-3346; or Jim Willis, 987-8177. Any business firm or individual wishing to sponsor a contestant may do so in the same manner. The entry fee is $2 each. Judging is done in the four groups with three prizes offered each group. The pageant rehearsal is set for Thursday, the 17th at the elementary school at 7:30 p.m. All contestants should be present.
