Due to a misprint in last weeks Si Sez I’m afraid there might be some confusion of thought. The word gnostic was changed to agnostic.
The gnostics were a sect that thought Christ was too holy to be clothed in mortal flesh. There are several incidents recorded in the Bible that would seem to support such a contention. AGNOSTIC comes from the Greek work AGNOSTOS, not knowing. My dictionary gives this definition of an agnostic - ‘One who neither affirms nor denies the existence of GOD.’ Or in the parlance of today, ‘I couldn’t care less.’ I believe an agnostic is a step ahead of an atheist, one who does not acknowledge God at all.
A person once accused me of being an agnostic. I told him that I probably believed more sincerely in God than the average person. I do not confine Him to some mountain top over in Palestine, to me He is everywhere. I do not think He plays any national favoritism. He loves all His creatures, even me. That is a comforting thought, and with that thought I think I will say;
