U. S. Air Force Staff Sergeant Charles T. Riley, son of Mrs. Maggie Riley, Rt. 1, Amissville, participated in operation Big Boy I, recently concluded in Norway.
Big Boy 1 was a joint U. S. Norwegian training exercise to familiarize Norwegian Infantry units with the latest automatic rifles and machine guns.
Sergeant Riley is a jet engine technician in a unit of the Tactical Air Command at Seymour Johnson AFB, N. C., which provided 12, F-4 Phantom fighter-bombers, air crews and maintenance support personnel for the exercise.
The sergeant is a 1957 graduate of Rappahannock High School, Washington.
His wife, Betty, is the daughter of Mrs. Raymond Martin, Rt. 2, Warrenton.
