At the meeting Tuesday night i of the Washington Town Council j Clean Up, Fix Up, Paint Up Week was set for April 12-19. For the convenience of the town residents there will be an extra trash removal day on Saturday, April 19.
License Tag Final
Midnight Tuesday
According to County Treasurer Robert L. Brown, the sale of county license plates is falling behind last year. As of Wednesday morning 880 plates had been purchased. He urges Rappahannock residents not to wait until the last day to purchase tags. Midnight Tuesday is the deadline for 1969 tags.
State license agent, Wilson Burke of Sperryville, also states that the sale of state license tags is dragging. He urges auto owners to have their registration cards filled out with necessary information before arriving at the license office. He also advises the purchase of tags immediately to avoid a last minute rush. State tag deadline /is midnight Tuesday also. /
