Mrs. John Miles

Mrs. Gertrude Nichols Foster Miles, 55, of Flint Hill died April 12, 1969 in Warren Memorial Hospital, Front Royal. She was a jnative of Charleston, West Virginia, the daughter of James Howard Nichols and Mary Pullen Nichols.

Survivors include her husband, John Miles of Flint Hill; Five sons, Howard D. Foster, William Ed Foster, Lawrence D. Foster, all of Flint Hill, Paul J. Foster, Manassas and Daniel A. Foster, Overall; a daughter, Mrs. Frances M. Short of Stanley; two step-sons, Herbert Foster and Stanley Foster, both of Flint Hill; three asters, Mrs. Lillian P. Johnson of Holly Hill, Fla., Mrs. Jesse May, Manassas and Mrs. William Barb, Middletown; and 23 grandchildren.

A funeral service was held at 10 o’clock Monday morning at the Maddox Funeral Home, Front Royal and interment was in Shenandoah Memorial Park, Frederick County. Pallbearers were her Five sons and Carroll W. Short.
