A Navy jet fighter plane on a low level mission craahed into the mountainside in Rappahannock County last Thursday morning, killing both occupants. The wreckage of the craft which exploded when it struck the earth was strewn over a 10-mile area. The crash was within the boundary of Shenandoah National Park
