Car* Collide Near
Huntly on Sunday
Two vehicles were involved in a collision Sunday at 12:30 on Route 522 a couple miles north of Huntly. According to investigating officer W. A. Buntin, Thornton Curtis Jackson of Front Royal was operating a 1963 Ford and towing an unlicensed vehicle. He lost control of the vehicle on the mountain descent; the cars jackknifed across the highway, and were struck by a 1969 Ford Hertz Rent a Car operated by John A. Rust of Atlanta, Ga.
Mrs. R. B. Rust of Flint Hill, a passenger in the Rust car sustained a head injury. Flint Hill Rescue Squad responded to the scene but its service was not used.
Jackson was charged with reckless driving. Damage to the Rust car was estimated at $600; to the Jackson vehicle at $100 and to the towed vehicle at $300.
