Carillon At Luray
Opens Recitals
The Luray Singing Tower, a Carillon of 47 bells, has opened its 32nd season. Recitals are given for a 45 minute period each Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday at 3 p.m. from now through May 31; 8 p.m. June 1
During the ten weeks from June 29 through August 31, the Sunday programs will consist of a short Carillon Recital beginning approximately three-quarters of an hour before sunset and followed immediately by a non-denominational Sunset Vesper Service sponsored by the Vesper Service Association. These Vespers, held on the Tower lawn, present speakers of national reputation, music on the Carillon, and special music by soloists and groups.
