RCES Hosts SCA
Division Meeting
“SCA Rings a Bell” was the theme of the division meeting Friday of Rappahannock and Warren counties which was held at the local elementary school. Mrs. Mary Quaintance, principal of Rappahannock County Elementary School, welcomed the group and devotions were conducted by the Rev. Edward C. Pruitt. The pledge to the flag was led by Warren County SCA and the audience sang “This Land Is Your Land.”
Several selections were presented by the band of A. S. Rhodes and Morrison Elementary Schools. Carter Moffett, a senior at Rappahannock County High School, and president of the SCA of that school, spoke to the group. Following a brief recess, students from the various schools presented skits concerning schools and SCA. A lunch break followed.
Special entertainment by the host school took place after lunch. This was followed by a business meeting of the entire group and adjournment was preceded by the SCA pledge and song.
