Mrs. Florence Gaines
A funeral service for Mrs. Florence Ethel Thornhill Gaines, 75, was held Sunday in the Clore Funeral Home Chapel, the Rev. Gordon George, the Rev. Allen Gaines and the Rev. W. R. Snead officiating. Burial followed in Fairview Cemetery.
Mrs. Gaines, the widow of Robert Franklin Gaines, died Friday, April 18, 1969, in the Virginia Baptist Home. She was a native of Rappahannock County, daughter of the late John Robert Thornhill and Cora Alice Coppage Thornhill. She is survived by one sister, Mrs. Eva Weakley of Culpeper and one half brother, Sam Yowell of Culpeper.
Pallbearers were Floyd Weakley, Fred Lamb, John Coppage, Luther Utz, Philip Thornhill, John R. Thornhill and Fred Coppage.
