Minor Wrecks Occur

Trooper J. B. Willis reported two minor traffic crashes which occurred in the Amissville area last week.

On July 4 a half mile east of Amissville a 1967-Dodge operated by Vickie Dianna Melvin of Fairfax and Charles Robert Patterson of Waynesboro, Tenn. were involved in a rear end crash. A dog ran across the road in front of the Melvin vehicle and when she braked suddenly Patterson struck the back of the car. Damage was slight and there were no injuries.

On the afternoon of the 7th Miss Phoebe Green of Amissville was turning into the post office lot off of Route 211 when she was struck by a 63 Ford operated by B. Jones of Milford, Del. who attempted to pass.
