We studied the story of the creation last Sunday. While it is a very interesting subject as presented in the Bible, it is also confusing to the lay mind.
The Bible story says that all creation was completed in six days, geologists contend that the universe is something over .£ix billion years old. Could it be that a day with God is a billion years? In Psalms 90:4 we read, “A thousand years with God are as a day, or as a watch in the night.” When I was with the military, a watch was two hours. Let’s use that differential. A thousand years would be four million, two hundred eighty thousand two hour watches. Then using the thousand years as compared with the billion, we would only have a one million differential.
Some scientists think that in fifty billion years our sun will be a dead star. I don’t think I’ll be around that long. I hope that when that happens I will be sharing the eternal light of the ONE who created it all in the first place.
