Vows Exchanged
Mr. and Mrs. Robert P. Hudson of Culpeper announce the marriage of their daughter, Linda Lee, to Phillip Lee Thornton III of Sperryville. He is the son of Mrs. P. Lee Thornton Jr. and the late Mr. Thornton.
The marriage took place Sunday, July 6, 1969 at three o’clock in the afternoon at Reynolds Memorial Baptist Church, Sperryville. The Rev. William Harrison performed the ceremony. Immediate families attended.
Mrs. Thornton was graduated from Averett College, Danville and is employed as the manager and buyer of the ladies department at Crafton and Sparks in Culpeper.
Mr. Thornton was graduated from Staunton Military Academy and attended Virginia Polytechnic Institute. He is a warrant officer with the U. S. Army and will leave August 13 for his second tour of duty in Vietnam.
