I want to put my experience to work to make Virginia a better place in which to live and work and raise our families - But most of all, I care about Virginia and every person in Virginia. LAW AND ORDER — Respect for law is the essence of Democracy We need to create a better understanding of law and respect for the people who protect ns. Too many people no longer feel safe in their pel son or secure in their pioperty. I want to change this. TAXATION — I'm concerned about our hard pressed taxpayers. . . We must demonstrate to them that every tax dollar is spent wisely, efficiently and effectively. . .down to the very last penny. EDUCATION — Wheie a child lives should not affect his opportunity for a fust rate education. It should be the same whether he lives on a farm, in a core city or in the suburbs. Unless we act now many children with special learning disabilities will never have a chance in life - we must hasten the completion of our community colleges so every person can have as much education as he can benefit from. CAMPUS RIOTS — I am 100% behind our college administrators — our colleges will be kept open for those who are there to get an education Those who try to disrupt them will Ire removed. - A person who breaks the law on a campus will be treated like any other lawbreaker. QUALITY OF LIFE — I am deeply concerned about the quality of life in Virginia. We need to attack the problems of the core city - break the welfare cycles We need to improve the rural economy with more industry - and all of us need clean air and pure water,
