Had a good visit last week with our new area fruit specialist, Dr. Lindsay Brown. Lindsay is stationed at the Winchester Fruit Research Laboratory and will be continuing the program carried on by George Williams.
Lindsay is a soft spoken, likeable, native Virginian whc should fit in well with the folks here in Rappahannock.
He studied under Dr. Massey at V.P.I. where he received his M.S degree in Horticulture. Since receiving his Ph.D. from Michigan State University in 1962, Dfr Brown has had an interesting and varied background in horticulture and related agricultural industry Know you will like him and w* will see that Lindsay gets introduced to the count; orchardists leal soon.
