The weekend of August the 2nd and 3rd will see the 19th annual presentation of the National Championship Country Music Contest by the Warrenton-Fauquier Jaycees at Whippoorwill Lake. The contest will have several categories, including best bluegrass band, best country band, best male and female vocalists, top banjo and fiddle players and the guitar and miscellaneous categories. A distinguished panel of judges, all experts in the country music field, will have the task of choosing the winners from the more than 200 nationally known contestants expected. The contest promises to be an interesting affair for all country music fans.
