Skiok Baptist To Meet
The 175th Session of the Shiloh Baptist Association will be held on Wednesday, August 6, at Mount Zion Baptist Church at Oak Park. The theme is “The Church Meeting the Needs of Young People”. The Rev. Kenneth Clark is pastor of the church. The morning session will begin at 9:45 a.m. with the Rev. Roy Mathena of Chester Gap Baptist Church as speaker, with special music by a youth choir. A covered dish lunch will be at 12:10.
The afternoon session will begin at 1:30 p.m. highlighted by the Baptist Student Union Drama Quintette. A panel discussion led by the Rev. Bob Ellis of Alum Spring Baptist Church will follow and the topic will be “The Church’s Responsibility to Young People”. The meeting will conclude at 3:00. The Rev. William Harrison of Sperryville is Moderator. The second meeting will be held on October 25 at Blue Run Baptist Church,
