“The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?” (Psalm 27:1)
David declared that he was unafraid when the enemy camped round about him. His hope was in the Lord. And the Lord never lost a battle, and was one of the few fighting men of his day who lived to die of old age.
Note that to David, the Lord was light, salvation, and strength. He is that and much more to all who trust in Him. How do you find Him? By believing on the Lord Jesus Christ as Saviour.
Jesus promises, “I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.” (John 8:12)

Mrs. Katie Coates of Lakeland, Florida, spent the weekend with Mr. and Mrs. C. B. Johnson. On Saturday they visited Mr. and Mrs. R. L. Church, present owners of Mrs. Coates’ old home near Peola Mills. They also called on Mr. and Mrs. Jake Yowell of Slate Mills.
