The grounds were exquisite. There is plenty of fascination here.

Thursday, we heard, was a typical Colorado day. The sun shone brightly, and by 8 a.m. we were on the highway to Cripple Creek. Just one mile northeast of Cripple Creek, we viewed the Mollie Kathleen Gold Mine, the greatest gold camp in the world, in colorful Cripple Creek, the old time buildings and atmosphere of the last century still prevail. Outside the small mining district is Mount Pisgah, 10,400 feet high. We drove above the timber line up a straight and narrow roadway. It was in Cripple Creek that we began to collect “gold samples.”
