Is there efficacy in prayer? I am inclined to say an emphatic YES.
At this time last week I was wondering what would be the result of a pending medical procedure. I had requested the prayers of my pastor and friends, now it was in the hands of God. I asked my loved one not to leave me. She told me not to worry, that I would be all right. That I would not be lonely.
Later, I wonder if I tried to meddle into the affairs of the Almighty. Through tears, I watched the increasing pallor of her face, felt her hand growing colder in my own. Deep down in my heart 1 rebelled with an unspoken; “Oh God, NO.” The color of her face changed, her hand lost its unnatural coldness. He gave her back to me. But, what have I done?
