Gy/Sgt. David W. Streagle left Monday for his home in Burton, S. C. after spending a leave with his family at the home of Mrs. Sarah Latham and Susan. Mrs. Streagle and children Shannon and Marc remained to spend two weeks with the Lathams.
Religious Drama
At Vesper Service
The Sunset Vesper Association is pleased to announce that the program for Sunday, August 10, will be presented by a Religious Drama Group. As for all Sunset Vesper Services, the setting will be thylawn of the Luray Singing Tower, and will be preceeded by a half hour carillon recital by Carillonneur, Charles Chapman. TTie recital begins at 7:30 p.m. with the Vesper service at 8:00 p.m.
The service Sunday night is a departure from the usual speaker-choir program, and promises to be a refreshing and stimulating means of communicating God’s good-news to all present.
The first presentation, “Dust of the Road”, is a dramatization of the old legend that Judas is allowed to return to earth once a year to plead with someone tempted to betray friendship. The second is a drama depicting the age old, struggle of man against man, race against race, and nation against nation. It is entitled, “Even the Hater”, and written by Albert Johnson.
