Benefit Dance

A Dance and record hop will be held Friday, February 27, at Pine Knott Inn beginning at 8:30 p.m. Admission is 75 cents and proceeds will benefit the Washington Monarchs Baseball Club.

Tests Schedules

The General Educational Development (GED) test, for persons who were once enrolled in school but who did not complete graduation requirements, will be given on Saturday, March 14 and Saturday, March 21, 1970, beginning at 9:00 a.m. at Warren County High School, Luray Avenue, Front Royal, Virginia. Attendance at both sessions is necessary to complete the entire battery of tests. The tests, administered and supervised by the Adult Education Service of the State Department of Education, are designed to measure the educational development of individuals who left school before graduation.

The battery of five examinations in English composition, social studies, natural science, literature, and mathematics are designed to measure the major generalizations, ideas, and intellectual skills that result from four-year high school curriculums.
