For the past couple of weeks ' the girls have been participating fin a Double Elimination Intramural Basketball 'Tournament. Seven teams were ^competing, each playing at least two games until it was narrowed down to two teams. The ; consolation team burst into action to win two games in a row and claim the championship. This : team was composed of Judy Alther, Jean Payne, Angela Dennis, Chris Fox, Bonnie Smoot, Doris Nicholson, Beverly Stringfellow, and Faye Leake. The tournament was organized and directed by Mrs. Rees, our physical education teacher.

The National Honor Society is sponsoring a talent show. Auditions have been held everyday this week and will be held tomorrow. Anyone who has some sort of talent or an act can go to the auditions in hope of going on to the talent show. It will be held on March 6.

The choir has been practicing for a program scheduled for the 26th of March. The title is “The Case of the Missing Part of Speech.” The choir members will be selling records and tapes for the next few weeks at a discount price. Seniors have been measured for their graduation caps and gowns andare busy planning and thinking abput other end-of-the-year activities. On the agenda will be the Senior Play scheduled for April.

AN ADDITION Judy Rinker, a ninth grade student at Rappahannock County High School, was inadvertently omitted from the list from the school of honor roil students for the six week period.
