A new trophy is being offered with the 1970 running of the Hound Race, the Stewart Wells, Jr. Memorial Bowl, in memory of one of the Rappahannock Hunt’s most valued members and supporters who died in December 1967. First, second and third prizes, silver bowls for retention by the winners, will be given each year as part of the memorial.
