I Randolph Devers has returned to his work in Front Royal after an absence of two months due to illness.

Mr. and Mrs. George Devers were guests on Sunday of Mr. and Mrs. J.R. Devers.

Mrs. Perle Coffey visited Mr. and Mrs. Melville Rector, Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Rector and son James Nelson Rector in Marshall on Saturday.

Mr. and Mrs. John R. Hudson, Jr. of Roanoke were visitors or Saturday of Miss Ruth Menefec and Mrs. Virginia Lewis. Mrs. Della B. Howard spent the weekend with them.

Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Jacobs and son Ricky of Warrenton spent the weekend with Mr. and Mrs. Fred Schaefer and Freddie. On Sunday Mr. Schaefer attended funeral services for A. L. Everiey in Front Royal.

Mr. and Mrs. Nelson Nethers spent the weekend in Solon, Ohio with their son-in-law and daughter Mr. and Mrs. Lowell Bolyard and family. Mr. and Mrs. Larry Bolyard . and family of Keyser, W. Va. spent the weekend with Mr. and Mrs. John Coates and family in the Nethers home. Mr. and Mrs. Pete Clatterbuck and daughter Cindy and Mrs. Ruby Cook of Culpeper were callers on Sunday of Mr. and Mrs. Cletes Clarke. On Monday the Clarkes were guests of Mr. and Mrs. Ennis Pullen in Luray. Mr. and Mrs. Larry Warren and children Catherine and Chip returned to their home in Charlotte, N.C. after a weeks visit with Mr. and Mrs. W.H. Lyne. Additional weekend guests were Third Class Petty Officer David Lyne and Third Class Petty Officer Stu Sivy of Norfolk and Miss Judy Lacey of Richmond.

Mrs. James F. Massie entertained members of the Flint Hill Bridge Club Monday evening at her home Meadow Grove. Her guests Included Mrs. Loche Burford, Mrs. John S. Browning, Mrs. Thomas L. Eastham, Mrs. W. A. Moore, Jr., Mrs. B. J. Wood, Mrs. Emory Russell, Mrs. Wallace Russell and Mrs. Paul Miller. Prizes were won by Mrs. Burford, Mrs. Browning, Mrs. Eastham and Mrs. Moore.

Family Dinner

Mr. and Mrs. Wilson Burke were hosts to a dinner on Sunday, Feb. 22 at their home In Sperryville in honor of Mrs. Burke’s brother, Radioman 2nd Class Ernest Clater. Those attending were Mrs. Ernest Clater and children Tracy and Eric and Mr. and Mrs. Randolph Clater and daughter, Pam, all of Washington; F.R. Merchant of Front Royal; Mrs. Maggie Clater, Ruth and Bobby Clater and Belinda Burke. Radioman Clater will leave on Friday for “Survival Training” at' Little Creek, Norfolk and upon completion will leave for a tour of duty In Vietnam.
