Council, he lerved on many of Its study committees each biennium between sessions of the General Assembly. At the time of his death, he was Chairman of two »uch committees and was a member of four others.

Men are remembered most for their accomplishments which receive public notice and Tom Frost had many such accomplishments. However, this man will be remembered best by those who knew him because of his constant acts of friendliness, humility, sincerity and compassion. Thousands of patients or former patients of hospitals will remember his almost daily visits to greet and cheer them. The General Assembly regards the death of Thomas Newton Frost as a grievous loss to this State and a deep personal loss to each of its members who knew and respected him. It recognizes his outstanding public service and pays tribute to his memory; now, therefore, be it Resolved by the House of Delegates, the Senate concurring, That the General Assembly of Virginia records its appreciation for the generous manner in which Thomas Newton Frost, throughout his life, gave of himself, and of that which was his, toward the general welfare of this State and records its sorrow upon his death, and extends its sympathy to his widow and family in their loss. Resolved further, That the Clerk of the House of Delegates send a suitably prepared copy of this Resolution to Mrs. Frances Hundley Frost, the widow of Thomas Newton Frost, as a token of the esteem in which he was held by the people of this Commonwealth.

I wish to express my sincere thanks to my many friends for their cards, flowers, visits and other acts of kindness to me and my family during my recent hospitalization and since my return home. My special thanks also to the Rappahannock Rescue Squad for their helpfulness and consideration.
