Georgia Hushpuppies 24 huehpuppies yy, to 2 cups boiling water 1 egg, beaten Fat for deep frying 2 cups enriched self-rising corn meal % cup finely chopped onion % Heat about 2 inches fat in fryer or large skillet to 365*. Combine corn meal and onion in mixing bowl. Stir in 1'^ cups water, mixing until well blended. Stir in egg. If necessery. add more water to make a thick batter. Drop by rounded tableapoonfuia into hot fat and fry until golden brown. 3 to 4 minutes, turning once. Drain thoroughly on absorbent paper.
