Hopewell Baptist Church Of enlightenment and means of showing His creatures that He is the first cause of everything and everyone have always puzzled mankind. Man has become disillusioned and frustrated by insecurity, instability and demoralization. Everywhere on Sunday you can hear men saying, “Thy will be done on earth as it is done in Heaven,” - but come Monday, you will find the so-called Minister of the Gospel sitting at the head of a secular , group, or another one persuading i young people to believe that the ’ American way of life and God’s ; Ways and Means are without purpose. His faith in the promises - of established religion has been sadly impaired. His confidence ; that science would not only give him assurance in all fields of . doubt and uncertainty but would ' also usher in a new and t resplendent era of enlightenment i and happiness for all mankind - that confidence has been • shattered. Those hopes and i expectations in technocracy as the messiah have been blasted. He I still believes that science can supply the means for a better and I a more abundant life, but he now , realizes that science can also be a monster, a “Golem” of madness
