The historic old hotel in Sperryville has opened its doors sgain and bids a cheerful welcome to the hungry and weary. Mrs. Laura N. Wharton has leased the property from R. Reynolds and is operating as Village Inn. The oldest portion of the building is said to be 200 years old and is brick painted white. A frame section was added many years later. In county records in Culpeper it was mentioned in a 1770 will of John Kilby, and in 1779 it was sold to Francis Millan by — James Kilby and wife for 12 pounds, according to records searched by Mr. Reynolds. _
