William Dudley
Jesse William Dudley of Front Royal died Friday, April 10, 1970 in Warren Memorial Hospital. He was 77.
Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at 2:30 o’clock in the Robertshaw-Turner Funeral Home, Front Royal. The service was conducted by the Rev. William C. Bartlett, rector of Calvary Episcopal Church of which Mr. Dudley was a member.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Edwina Herring Dudley; two sons, W. Travis Dudley of New Kent County, Va., and F. B. Dudley of Silver Spring, Md.; three sisters, Mrs. C. H. White of Linden and Mrs. W. Curtis
Mrs. C. J. ifoUev both of Washington, Va.; ana one granddaughter.
Mr. Dudley was born at Washington, Va., August 17, 1892, the son of the late Francis Buckner Dudley and Mrs. Carter Dudley.
E. M. Rowles Edward Massie Rowles, 75, of Limetori died April 5, 1970 in Staunton. A funeral service was held Wednesday, April 8 at 2 p.m. at the Maddox Funeral Home chapel, conducted by the Rev. H. Felix Sanders. Burial was in Prospect Hill Cemetery. Mr. Rowles was born in Washington, Va., a son of the late George W. and Lucy E. Massie Rowles. His wife, Mrs. Edna Mallory Rowles, predeceased him. Surviving are three 30ns, William D. Rowles of Falls Church; Edward D. Rowles of Gulfport, Miss., and Thomas D. Rowles of Richmond; and four grandchildren. Also surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Mary Partlow of Arlington and Mrs. Kate Updike of Beltsville, Md.
Pallbearers were Lyle Laing, Jasper Mauck, J. E. Rudacille, Dennis Thompson, Charles Case and C. M. Athey.
