May 29: Elkwallow Wayside and Service Station, Big Meadows Laundry-Showers and Lewis Mountain Campground.
June 12: Loft Mountain concession and Lewis Mountain concession.
All Visitor Centers and picnic areas and the campgrounds at Matthews Arm and Big Meadows now are open. Also Panorama Restaurant and Service Station are open. All facilities operate 7 days a week.
Some trees and flowers bloom in April along Skyline Drive. In May, many are evident, including the azalea and dogwood.
