Temporary Leaders

Twenty students met in Middletown last Tuesday evening and selected their temporary leaders for the beginning of the school year. Elected as president was Brent Cavedo of Luray. Lois Markee of Front Royal was voted as vice-president, Debbi Tomney of Winchester was elected as secretary, Bruce Roemmelt of Front Royal was made treasurer, and Richard Tupper of Washington, Virginia was named reporter.

The officers of the Student Government will serve in a temporary capacity until such time as a constitution is written and student elections can be held in the fall.

Additionally, eight students were selected to serve on the Lord Fairfax College Senate. They will serve with an equal number of faculty members and an equal number of administrators on the College governing body. The eight students named to the Senate were: Johnnie Bryant of Marshall, John Yonts of Woodstock, Connie Ritenour of Woodstock, Judy Neff of Strasburg, Peggy Swecker also of Woodstock, Dan Hitt of Amissyille, Sharon Rogers of Winchester, and Gail Headley of Berryville.
