On August 28, 1970, at 8 p.m. at the Library the Information and Entertainment program will provide a showing of slides of the Arctic and Vietnam with a talk by Mr. P. Lee Thornton III on "Contrasts in Ecology”. The programs are free and everyone is invited.
Your Librar / hcs been having some difficulty in obtaining the return of books borrowed. Even after several reminders, some borrowers do not respond. Perhaps drastic action is necessary-in Salem, Virginia, a recent news article states that “A Salem woman has been fined $10 and given a suspended 60-day jail term for failing to return three books to the city library after receiving repeated notices that they were overdue.” This action was taken as a result of the swearing out of a warrant by the Library. Let us not face the necessity for such action here!
