spent the weekend witn suiniey Williams. Bert Gilkey spent Friday night with Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Slbert in Front Royal. Mrs. Bertha North and Mrs. Marie Williams of Chester Gap visited Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Sealock on Saturday. The Chester Gap Volunteer Fire Dept, held ts regular monthly meeting on Monday night. It was decided at this meeting to have a two-day carnival at the carnival grounds on September 4 and 5th. Stanley Williams and Henry Cameron attended the annual dinner meeting of the Southern States Co-op at the Virginia Gentleman Restaurant in Front Royal on Friday night. Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Leake and family of Sperryville spent the weekend with Mr. and Mrs. Bradley Williams. Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Ellington of Falmouth were Sunday visitors of Mr. and Mrs. Herman Williams.
Mrs. Eddie Goranaon spent two days last week in Arlington with Mr. Goranson who has employment there.
Sam North came home on Wednesday after being a patient in the Warren Memorial Hospital.
Mrs. Myrtle North celebrated her 74th birthday recently with a picnic at Elizabeth Furnace and attended by many friends and the family.
Mrs. Bessie Parks of the Blue Ridge Mountain Estates and Mrs. Grace Moore of Pennsylvania visited Mrs. Phyllis Morris on Thursday. Visiting the Morris’ on Saturday were Sylvia Marcus and Gail Marcus of the Winchester Road and Mrs. Anna Williams of Front Royal.
