During his 44 years as a member of Flint Hill United Methodist Church, Mr. Barksdale has acted as a teacher, District Steward, treasurer, member of the Board of Trustees, chairman of the Administrative Board and Supervisor of the Church Study Program.
He was married to Miss Lucy Ricketts of Flint Hill for 34 years until her death a few years ago. Mr. Barksdale was a native of North Garden in Albemarle County.

Classes in Standard and Advanced First Aid are scheduled to begin Tuesday, November 9 instead of the earlier date announced. Instruction will begin at 8 p.m. in Flint Hill fire hall with Mrs. B R. Armel heading the classes. Enroll by contacting Mrs. Armel at Washington, Va.
