Dear Mr. Irwin:
I thank you for your questionnaire dated September 28, 1971, concerning various major topics, which may or may not be issues in the future of Rappahannock County.
If elected to the County Board of Supervisors for the Hampton District, I would be representing the people of Hampton District and would, therefore, vote on any of the 20 issues you set forth the way the citizens of that district wished. I feel that all of the items are of major importance but I would be governed by the wishes of the majority of the citizens of Hampton District on each and every item and would vote accordingly.

An Open Letter to the Board of Supervisors Rappahannock County Washington, Virginia
’ As a concerned citizen for the natural heritage of Rappahannock County, I am appalled that the quota of one deer per season, per hunter, has been increased to two deer per season, (one of each sex> per hunter. I have seen no report indicating that the deer population has become so profuse as to provide an ecological hazard. If such a study exists, I would like to see it, and it should be made available to all citizens of the County. On the other hand, if no study has been made to determine there is an over-population of deer, within a number of years the deer will be depleted. Therefore, it is
